As one of the fastest-growing finance-oriented societies in Oxford University, we seek all ways to promote entrepreneurship and initiative.

This means that, whatever your background, your contribution is always encouraged and valued. This is a Society that enables you to make an effective, material impact.

Joining the capitOx means joining a united team of high-calibre individuals who are committed to turning extraordinary ideas into successful events.

In the first week when the capitOx was formed, we launched a grand Welcome Drinks, a networking event sponsored by the Said Business School. A few weeks later we held a workshop on how to network with Americans led by Ardell Fleeson, herself a successful coach in America. In less than a term, we organized Hong Kong Insight, a business trip that brought 30 of the UK’s brightest students in a visit to respectable firms such as BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Macquarie and more.

We are making effective, promising progress towards larger-in-scale and more innovative events. The upcoming Oxford Investment & Banking Conference that features leaders from some of the world’s most influential companies such as UBS, Credit Suisse, Oliver Wyman and more is only an example.

Going forward the Society is looking for individuals who, like the rest of us, can make these (and more) exciting events happen. Being part of the capitOx team gives you the opportunity to initiate and execute ideas on a large scale.
